Adam has been a regular golfer among the vets for a number of years and has simply played for the enjoyment as he awaits his time to become a 'true' vet.
Another non-veteran golfer, Glen Thompson, claimed the third MGC prize.
In the vets' section, it was Kel Wilton (35) who continues in his rich vein of form as he took the vets' first prize.
David Halpin (34) put the pressures of being an organiser of the upcoming Mudgee Veterans' Week of Golf Tournament to claim the second and then Jim Yeo (33) to claim third.
Kel was able to keep the dreaded 'wipes' off his card although he did have quite a number of single point holes. He did, however, supplement his score with two birdies and four points on each of the tough 6th hole and the ever dangerous 16th hole.
David had a great start to his round and was a little 'wobbly' on the back nine while Jim's round was almost the mirror image as he turned a rather ordinary front nine holes into a good score with a blistering final nine holes.
Ball winners were Adam Ferguson, Kel Wilton, Glen Thompson, David Halpin, Jim Yeo, Barry Hadaway, Greg Llewelyn, Tony Hart, Catherine Cox and John Novak.
