After 19 years of service to the Gulgong community Don and Anne MacLean, owners of Mayne Street Auto have decided to move on, selling the business to Gulgong family, Michael and Angela Green.

All the services you have been used to for all those years will still be available with the addition of air-conditioning the new owners say.
In 2001 the MacLeans bought the derelict building on the corner of Mayne and Medley Streets after having worked at Don's family business MacLean Auto Service 21 years prior.
"We could not have done it without our customers some of whom have been with us for the forty years, we will miss them all, Anne said.

"It will always hold a special place in our hearts and now we have passed it on to the Greens to continue the job.
As Anne moves on to have a well-earned rest you will still find Don working in the business a few days a week.
The Mudgee Guardian wishes the Green family well as they move on to fill the large shoes left by Anne and Don MacLean.
