More than $80,000 has been allocated to centres in the region, including Dubbo, with the program allowing for funding of up to $15,000 each.
Gulgong Preschool director, Wendy Harris said it's always encouraging to see government support offered to early childhood education centres.
Ms Harris added that Gulgong Preschool will use their $12,716.36 of funding to help cover costs associated with added built in storage cupboards and the completion of securing fencing around the playground.
"We are very happy to receive this grant, any money we receive is always put to benefit the children," she said.
"We are always looking for further opportunities to improve our learning environment and appreciate the money the government has so kindly granted us."
It is likely the fencing will be completed early this year.
The other successful applicants receiving funding include:
- Mudgee Preschool South Campus - $14,068 for solar panel installation, tap replacement and outdoor building blocks.
- Mudgee Preschool Kindergarten Cooperative - $14,997.73 to replace worn flooring and taps in the children's bathroom.
- Gowrie Mudgee - $13,264.60 for creation of a multipurpose space, including heating, fans and lighting for year-round access.
