Emergency services were on scene at the Mudgee waste facility at about 1pm on Friday, January 22, where a fire had reportedly broken out. At this stage, it is unknown what caused the blaze which broke out in the area next to the main waste facility that many people use. Emergency services including firefighters and police were quick to the scene. The tip has been temporarily closed to the public, with staff evacuated from the site.
