Mudgee Indoor Swimming Club braved the heat and made a splash at the NSW Country Regional Swimming Carnivals last weekend.

The local squad made the trip to Orange, with two separate events held at Taree and Oak Flats, where a total of 16 swimmers took a tip across the two-day period.
A total of 143 individual entries took place, with 84 personal best times achieved as well as 30 individual top three placings.
The competition was fierce but Mudgee Indoor Swimming Club put on a good display of competitiveness and great sportsmanship.
Some stand out performances from the event include:
- Edith Keightley - 1st place 100m breaststroke
- Charlotte Wilson - 1st place 50m and 100m backstroke, 50m freestyle
- Nate Atkinson - 1st place 50m and 100m freestyle, 50m and 100m backstroke, 50m and 100m butterfly
The swimmers are continuing on with their training leading up to the next two-day carnival, the Western Area Championships, which will be held at Dubbo on February 6-7, 2021.
