A rider escaped with only minor injuries after his motorbike and a car collided at Mudgee early on Wednesday morning, prompting a reminder from emergency services to wear protective gear.
Emergency services responded to reports of the multi-vehicle accident on Sydney Road just after 7am on Wednesday morning, with two NSW Ambulance crews arriving shortly afterward.
It was quickly established the accident was a low-speed collision.
Paramedics assessed and treated the rider, believed to be a teenage male, at the scene for minor hand injuries and some bruising however he refused to be taken to hospital against advice.
Reportedly, along with a helmet, the rider was also wearing complete protective gear which is thought to have helped him avoid far more serious injuries.
