The ride was originally slated to run in 2020, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
It was a Gran Fondo style ride, meaning it is a mix between participatory and competitive cycling. There were three grades open to riders; the 170km Maxi Classic, 120km Challenge Classic and 35km Social Classic.
Riders fundraised for a charity of their own choice, and some local community groups will receive donations following the ride.
The Mudgee Classic is supported by Destination NSW, Mid-Western Regional Council, NSW Police, Traffic Management personnel and emergency services.
