Most, if not all the seven teams, have, through injuries and work commitments, suffered losses to teams they would normally defeat, the ladder a stark illustration of results so far, and an unlikely scenario at the start of the season.
The three A grade finalists from last year, Just Brick It, Mayso's Pro Shop and Edmunds Interiors, are struggling to dominate as they have done in past seasons, however, this could all change with seven rounds remaining to be played.
And, it just so happens, the draw for this this week will give these three teams a chance to push for a top three position.
Just Brick It, with the bye this week, are poised one point behind Stride Health, Mayso's Pro Shop third, three points adrift take on Cleveland Steamers, a team they should beat, leaving Edmunds Interiors currently in sixth position, without Ben Edmunds, facing a tough match against Levens Smash Repairs who are one point ahead of Edmunds on the ladder.
All eyes though, will be on the Stride Health - Hairy Ballers clash, a must win game for Stride Health if they are to retain the competition lead, as Just Brick It, with four competition points from the bye, will leap frog to the front of the ladder, if Stride Health slip up against the 4th placed Ballers, who are a difficult team to overcame.
Competition Ladder:
Stride Health 21, Just Brick It 20, Mayso's Pro Shop 18, Hairy Ballers 15, Levens Smash Repairs 12, Edmunds Interiors 11, Cleveland Steamers 6.
