The year 12 student at Dunedoo Central School made her first appearance at the Games on Thursday in a thrilling boccia contest in Tokyo.
Australia went close to forcing a fifth end against hosts Japan bul ultimately suffered a narrow 3-2 loss in an entertaining Pool B match.
Leeson played the first end with individual bronze medal winner Dan Michel before the latter teamed up with Spencer Cotie.

Japan took a 1-0 lead in the first end and that grew to 3-0 in the second before Michel and Cotie fought back.
They trailed 3-1 heading into the final end and while they had the chance to level it late, the hosts held on.
The defeat doesn't end Australia's medal hopes, with matches against Portugal (10.30am), Brazil (3.25pm), and Hong Kong (7.05pm) on Friday.
The boccia has proven a real hit in Tokyo, with this year marking the first time the sport has been broadcast live at the Games.
It has gained real interest in Japan and attention from all over the world, with the accuracy and strategy involved setting it apart from many other sports.
