Cresta Lee Viellaris is selling her 1970 hot pink 1500 Volkswagen Beetle she affectionately named 'Ringo'.
"Everyone has a beetle story. You drive around and everyone tells you about their beetle they owned when they were young or they saw their parents or I know attains or whatever," she said.
Cresta, who has owned VW vehicles her whole life and even a few beetles, said the sale was regretful but hopes the car can stay in Mudgee and maybe even serve as a de facto mascot for Pink Up Mudgee during October.
"I've always thought 'if you've ever ever gonna sell it, now's the time to sell'," Cresta laughed.
"It's just an awesome car. It's quite rare because it's got that centrifugal automatic transmission. There's no clutch. It's really fun to drive, you can't stall it. I'll try my hardest, but I've done a three point turn in third gear in it."
Cresta is asking $15,000 or the nearest offer for the car which she's decided to sell as she's preparing to move back to Western Australia.
