That's the driving force behind Jack Littlejohn's decision to re-sign with the Mudgee Dragons as first grade coach for the 2022 season after three years in the role.
With one narrow title defeat and two unfinished seasons, Littlejohn won't quit, especially not without a premiership.
"We haven't been able to finish what we started," he said.
"We fell just short in 2019, 2020 was pretty much a write-off and this year we were sitting third when the comp got cancelled. It hasn't gone to plan.
"I'd like to take one out."
Shortly after their heartbreaking defeat to the Bathurst Panthers in the 2019 Group 10 grand final, the red and white contingent sought to move their operations to Group 11.
Despite the move failing to proceed at the time, the switch is still a "goal" for the club according to Littlejohn, who is uncertain whether the desire will come to fruition.
"We've always wanted to go out and expand to Group 11, there's more teams there. It would just be a better competition for us, it's been a goal," he said.
"There's been talk of moving Groups over the last couple of years but I'm pretty sure the comps are going to combine anyway.
"Everyone is on the same page, we want to test ourselves against some of those good sides in Group 11 but it really comes down to what NSW Rugby League lets us do.
"If it works or not, I'm not sure. We'll have to wait and see."
