The state government's cash splash continues with a cool $4.1 million for Mudgee's Glen Willow complex that Council says will be used to establish an all new training camp and build a bridge over Lawson Creek.

Member for Dubbo Dugald Saunders was in Mudgee this week broke it down, explaining that $3.1 million will be used to construct the bridge, connecting Glen Willow to the Putta Bucca Wetlands, as well as more than $1 million to begin construction of a training camp facility at Glen Willow.
This week it was announced that NRL side, the Manly Sea Eagles will return to Glen Willow in 2022 to face the Canberra Raiders on April 2 in round four.
Mid-Western Regional Council General Manager Brad Cam welcomed the funding.
"We're extremely grateful for the ongoing support from the state government, which has been a great partner in bringing our visions for Glen Willow to life," Mr Cam said.
"The bridge will ultimately improve and support recreation, exercise, and community sport and major events held at the complex."
Stage one of the training facility is said to feature a gym, recovery centre, conference/lecture room, dining/lounge room, kitchen, storeroom, laundry, and toilets to meet the needs and requirements of visiting and local athletes, sporting teams and groups. Stage one will also reportedly support future stages, including planning for accommodation and further amenities.
"Glen Willow is already regarded as one of the best sporting facilities in regional NSW, able to host multiple NRL fixtures each year, and work is already underway to make it the home of Mudgee community sport as well," Mr Saunders said.
"These projects are the next step to attract even more elite sporting teams and programs, and bring the community along for the ride."
The vehicle and pedestrian bridge will improve connectivity for weekend sport and major events, as well as link Glen Willow with the popular Putta Bucca Wetlands and the 8 kilometre cycling/walking loop.
