To get a win, even just one, at any meeting is a thrill, but to have three come consecutively is an electric feeling and that was the reality lived by Thompson Racing at Warren on November 7.

Off the back of a record-breaking run in Dubbo the week prior, Larynx flew home in the benchmark 58 handicap (1400 metres) to win by two and a half lengths, setting the pace for Carry on Cathy and Winter Moon.
Winter Moon carried the baton to win by two and a half lengths in the class 2 handicap (1600m), which was followed up by Carry on Cathy who proved her smaller stature to be insignificant, winning by three lengths in the maiden handicap (1000m).
"It was a really exciting day for us," Gulgong trainer, Brett Thompson said.
"Larynx backed up his record-breaking run at Dubbo with a win at Warren with 61 kilos on his back, and that's a very big effort.
"Carry on Cathy is only a tiny horse. She went to Narromine a couple of weeks before and got run down late and came second. We were worried whether she would run the thousand but she did it easy.
"We're really happy with Winter Moon who came out and won the 1600 metre race by two and a half lengths.
"Ripper Curry, who has been involved in the stable for about 10 years, had two horses win on the day. He came up with me in the truck to help and he got two winners, it was really exciting."
Gadfly, Dollar Pursuit, Sniper Excels and All Hollywood weren't as lucky as their stable mates, all falling short in their respective heats.
"We were unlucky to run second in the last race with Gadfly, he's been going really good. He was only just beaten," Thompson said.
"Another horse slipped out of the gates pretty bad and got back to last then flew home to run fourth."
Nevertheless, the Gulgong stables are electric after the Warren meeting, proving the staff's long hours to be worthwhile
"Winning puts a lot of energy back into the stable," Thompson said.
"Even if someone's working the stable, they're always watching on the TV or their phone and as soon as we win, they're ringing up.
"It's great for all of us to get the results, not just for myself but all of the staff who put in long hours all the time, seven days a week, and also the owners who put a lot of money into the industry.
"If we keep the hard work up, we'll keep getting the results."
Should the rain hold off, Larynx, Winter Moon and Carry on Cathy will next take aim at Narromine on November 25.
"It's always hard to find the right races that suit them but at the moment it looks like we'll be going, but it depends on the rain," Thompson said.
"Larynx, Carry on Carry and Winter Moon don't like wet tracks so we were lucky to get a dry track last Sunday."
