Crowds were entertained all evening with a lineup that included performances from Brothers3 Music Academy, Dance Unlimited, Stepping Out, local choir singers, Jess Holland and of course a visit from Santa who took time out of his busy schedule to arrive in style via helicopter.
Jenny Dowdy, Chairperson of the Rotary Carols Committee said the event was probably the biggest yet.
"It was fabulous down there. Kids had room to move and the little-ies, you know, they were kicking a ball around, it just seemed to work so well," she said.
"I think everyone needed something. And the gods were good to us and gave us a beautiful evening -after all the rain we were panicky for a while. But it was it just seemed to flow. The MC was just fantastic and got everyone moving - and of course, the helicopter with Santa, that was always a bit hit.
"So it all seemed to be really good."
Pearl Daly-Swords who is on the organising committee said feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
"[We had] lots of comments from people saying that they just hadn't seen so many children together in the community for such a long time," she said.
