Emergency warnings have been issued for eight fires burning in NSW and Queensland as regions on the east coast face extremely hot and dry conditions.
Surrounding locations were warned to watch and act as other fires burned nearby.
Bureau of Meteorology's Angus Hines said "it's a dynamic situation. Fires can evolve and change and new fires can start so make sure you're getting the latest information about fires in your region through your state emergency service".
Under extreme fire danger, people should prepare to protect their life and property, check their bushfire plan and ensure their property is fire ready.
Travelling through bushfire risk areas should be reconsidered.
