A light plane has crashed at an airport in Sydney's southwest, with fire crews working to free the pilot from the wreckage. The single-engine, four-seater aircraft came down at Bankstown Airport about 3.40pm on Friday, Fire and Rescue NSW confirmed. The plane flipped on impact, trapping the male pilot. Eight fire crews are on scene to manage fire risk as rescue crews work to free the pilot who has suspected leg injuries.
