Three men entered pleas of 'not guilty' to charges laid by Strike Force Raptor, when they appeared in Mudgee Local Court on Wednesday.

The defendants were; Jacob Christopher Calvert, aged 32, of Linburn Lane, Cooyal; Paul Victor Denoord, aged 51, of Gladstone Street, Mudgee; and Ashley Michael Bassett, aged 35, of Thomas Clarke Place, Mudgee.
They were each charged with; 'Demand property with menaces with intent to steal'; 'Assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of others'; and 'Participate criminal group contribute criminal activity'. With Calvert additionally charged with the firearm charge 'Holder of Category A or B licence not have approved storage'.
These matters - arising from an alleged incident in Mudgee in July - where adjourned to come back before Mudgee Local Court on Wednesday, April 3, 2019. The trio are currently on bail.
Bassett also had charges - relating to an alleged incident in Mudgee in October - listed for hearing on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, those being; 'Take etc person in company with intent commit serious indictable offence', "Deal with property proceeds of crime less than $100,000', and 'Passenger not disclose driver’s/ other passenger’s identity'.
The matters of Russell Wayne Lawrence, aged 37, of Putta Bucca Road, Mudgee, were adjourned to Wednesday, March 20, 2019, with that defendant still refused bail.
He was charged with; ‘Take person in company with intent commit serious indictable offence’; ‘Robbery’; ‘Larceny’; ‘Common assault’; ‘Stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (personal)'; three counts of ‘Possess unauthorised firearm’; three counts of ‘Acquire firearm no licence/ permit – not prohibited firearm/pistol’; three counts of ‘Not keep firearm safely – not prohibited firearm/pistol’; three counts of ‘Unauthorised person fail to surrender firearm’; ‘Possess ammunition without holding licence/ permit/authority’; and three counts of ‘Possess unregistered firearm – not prohibited firearm/pistol’.
