Richard Michael Dean, aged 41, of Douro Street, Mudgee, pleaded guilty to the mid-range offence in Mudgee Local Court.
At about 4.48pm on Sunday, December 23, 2018, Highway Patrol police were conducting random breath testing in Mudgee as part of 'Safe Arrival'.
Dean tested positive when he was stopped in Mortimer Street and was taken to Mudgee Police Station where a breath analysis of 0.122 was recorded.
"He'd had enough beers to know he would've been affected, over 0.1 everyone is affected," Magistrate David Day said.
Upon hearing that the defendant is an employer, His Honour said, "he's going to need to get an employee, it's called a chauffeur".
