The ranks of local doctors have swelled by five this month, with the addition of new practitioners at South Mudgee Surgery and the Medical Centre.

Among the three doctors joining the former, is Dr Rebecca Devitt who hails from Mudgee and made a career change from pharmaceuticals and had been working in Orange.
Dr Tim Jones, who's been working as a GP for two years, has a broad interest across all areas of medicine and comes to the local region having previously worked around the central west.
While Dr Kate Jenkins studied at the University of Newcastle and brings experience from Tamworth in her new venture.
University of Wollongong graduate Dr John Cherry has joined the Mudgee Medical Centre, which marks a return for him having previously been medical student at the practice.
Dr Josephine Peisch also joins the latter, but having come the furthest of the new doctors, in 2009 she graduated from the Warwick Medical School in the UK.
