Mudgee Rugby Club were lucky enough to have the driving force of Helen Blackmore back in 2020 to support the Wombats on and off the field.
Helen accepted a committee position as senior coordinator for another year.
She was dedicated to finding and recruiting female players, which was no mean feat given the unprecedented circumstances she faced with the uncertainty of a full season with COVID restrictions looming over us all.
However, her ability to pull the girls together and get them on the field was never questioned.
Helen's drive and dedication followed through onto the rugby paddock. Her never give up attitude as a player and leadership as the women's team captain were contributing factors leading to the girls' action packed grand final.
Helen's hard work for the Mudgee Rugby Club was recognised at the club presentation night, being awarded the Roslyn Lee Shield for contribution to women's rugby.
