It's true, the town has had more than its share of watering holes.
And they weren't only a fixture of corners either, several were located on what would've been the entries to town at the time, likely to greet weary travellers.
So with thanks to the Mudgee Historical Society - fittingly, whose home is pictured - here's a look at a number of the former pubs.
Some of these buildings have been repurposed, some were demolished all-together.
But what all pubs featured in this instalment have in common is that you won't be able to have a beer at any of them these days.

If you like photos of old local pubs, a 2018 project from the Australian National University (ANU) Archives released photos from the Tooth & Company - including the Town Hall Hotel pictured above.
It not only included pubs from Mudgee, but also Gulgong, Rylstone, Kandos, Dunedoo, and other surrounding areas.
