Currently the Mid-Western Region Local Government Area spans three state electorates, those being Dubbo, Bathurst, and Upper Hunter.
The proposed changes that would affect the Mid-Western Region LGA include to move the northern boundary of the Bathurst electorate northwards into the Upper Hunter electorate and absorb the localities of Bylong, Nullo Mountain, Coxs Creek, Lee Creek and surrounds.
Also to transfer to the Dubbo electorate part of the Mid-Western Regional LGA - namely, the localities of Ulan, Cooks Gap and Wollar, plus the surrounding localities - from the Upper Hunter electorate.
Redistribution is undertaken after every second NSW state general election. Once finalised, the changes made by this redistribution process will be in place for the 2023 and 2027 state general elections.
