The launch will include readings from local poets, and music from Bob with Gulgong musician Jake Fahy.
"Bob is one of our region's best performers and fiercest fighters in the tradition of political folk music," said Sam Paine, one of the owners of the new bookshop.
"It's a pleasure to have Bob's book at the centre of the first event we host, considering his long history of using words as a weapon against the world's injustices."
'May my Songs' showcases another side of Bob Campbell's talents, featuring poems of love and passion alongside verses inspired by everyday life, as well as pieces about the causes that have fuelled his music for many years.
The book also includes two CDs of Mr Campbell reading his poems.
Bob Campbell published his first book seven years ago, when he penned a memoir that included his song lyrics as poetical interludes in the narrative.
"This collection of poetry speaks of what has passed and what may lay ahead, for a poet's role is to write what they see and tell people how they feel," said fellow poet Stephen Endacott.
"Whether he is thumbing a ride out of his home village off to see the world at a young age, feeling the cold sleety wind blow off a Berlin street at 3am, or observing a young goddess rollerblading down the boulevard at Bondi, he has captured that moment in time. His sharp eye for detail is wonderful."
The recent easing of COVID-19 restrictions has allowed the venue to accommodate up to fifty guests, so everyone who likes good music and powerful poetry is invited along to this celebratory night.
The Book Nest Mudgee is located at 90 Church Street, Mudgee.
