With the state's vaccination rates quickly approaching the 70 per cent mark, ClubsNSW decided on a reopening date last week until NSW Health announced on Thursday the region would exit lockdown on Friday.
Club Mudgee acting CEO, Mark Willis said the news of opening the doors once again to patrons is welcomed by all involved.
"Club Mudgee acknowledges that it has been a difficult time for members, guests and staff, and we look forward to finally opening the doors again to the community," Mr Willis said.
"Club Mudgee has been working behind the scenes during the shutdown, taking the opportunity to attend to some renovations, and plant and equipment upgrades in readiness for reopening.
"We really look forward to welcoming everybody back into the club, especially so they can enjoy our new outdoor area.
"It will be great to see everyone back, catching up with friends and doing all the things they love to do at Club Mudgee."
Mayor of the Mid-Western Region, Des Kennedy said not only is the news of reopening a blessing for local business owners, but also for residents who have been itching to get out of the house.
"We have lived with the lockdown but it'll be a great boost when we open up for our local community," Mr Kennedy said.
"People have been locked up for six weeks. They may have snuck in town to get a coffee or order takeaway but that's been the extent of it. October 1 will be a welcome return to some normality.
"We won't have any visitors until we get to the 80 per cent vaccination rate but it'll be a good warm up period from the 1st."
Mr Kennedy is urging residents to make the most of their time out of lockdown by supporting businesses who have been doing it tough.
"People would've saved plenty of money over the past six weeks so I urge everyone to get out and spend money locally to help our businesses who have been struggling through this lockdown," he said.
